Happy Hometown is an AI-assisted collaborative project centred on personal memory and the co-creation of synthetic memories. Through processes including preliminary memory collection, memory interviews, third-person biographical writing, AI image co-creation, and the translation of memories into sound and moving images, the project works with 19 community memory co-creators to revisit significant life experiences that may have become blurred, fragmented, or difficult to articulate.
Rather than seeking an accurate reconstruction of the past, the project attempts to preserve the atmospheres, emotions, and perceptual structures embedded within memory. By allowing private experiences to be revisited, narrated, and shared, these memories are transformed into synthetic memories that can be collectively perceived, cared for, and reimagined.

《快樂老家》是一項圍繞個人記憶展開的AI合成記憶共創實踐。項目通過預收集、記憶訪談、第三人稱小傳寫作、AI圖像共創、聲音與影像轉譯等方式，與19位社區記憶共創者共同回到一段重要卻可能模糊、破碎或難以表達的生命經驗。作品並不追求對過去的精確復原，而是嘗試保存記憶中的氛圍、情緒與感知結構，讓私人經驗在被重新看見、講述與共享的過程中，成為可以被共同感知和照護的合成記憶。
