The vision of this farm is to foster sustainability and cultivate caring communities by promoting physical and mental well-being, while providing an open space for leisure and relaxation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ren extracted ultrasonic frequencies from her soundscape recordings using a basicUcho microphone, transforming the inaudible into audible sounds perceptible to the human ear. The presented segment includes the sound of a bicycle bell and the previously unheard ultrasonic elements, depicting a harmonious coexistence between residents, their environment, and the edible plants within the community. It also offers a sonic vision of natural resource recycling and ecological resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cheng captured the subtle vibrations of the small decorative windmills using a geophone. These windmills serve both aesthetic and educational purposes: they enrich the visitor experience and demonstrate the principles of wind energy in alignment with sustainable living and environmental awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This artwork was featured in&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/soundlab.scm.cityu.edu.hk\/listening-to-the-earth\/\">Listening to the Earth: Sonifying Planetary Health Ecologies<\/a><\/em>, a hybrid (virtual and physical) exhibition presented as part of Spark 2024, the British Council\u2019s festival of ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u300aWaves of Urban Farm\u300b\u9304\u88fd\u65bc\u9999\u6e2f\u9996\u500b\u9130\u8fd1\u6d77\u908a\u7684\u90fd\u5e02\u8fb2\u5834\u3002\u8a72\u8fb2\u5834\u81f4\u529b\u65bc\u63a8\u52d5\u53ef\u6301\u7e8c\u767c\u5c55\uff0c\u57f9\u990a\u95dc\u61f7\u793e\u7fa4\uff0c\u4e26\u4fc3\u9032\u8eab\u5fc3\u5065\u5eb7\uff0c\u540c\u6642\u63d0\u4f9b\u4e00\u500b\u958b\u653e\u7684\u4f11\u61a9\u7a7a\u9593\uff0c\u8b93\u4eba\u5011\u653e\u9b06\u8207\u4ea4\u6d41\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u6842\u4ec1\u4f7f\u7528 basicUcho \u9ea5\u514b\u98a8\u5f9e\u8072\u97f3\u98a8\u666f\u9304\u97f3\u4e2d\u63d0\u53d6\u4e86\u8d85\u8072\u983b\u7387\uff0c\u5c07\u539f\u672c\u4eba\u8033\u7121\u6cd5\u807d\u898b\u7684\u8072\u97f3\u8f49\u5316\u70ba\u53ef\u611f\u77e5\u7684\u807d\u89ba\u5167\u5bb9\u3002\u4f5c\u54c1\u7247\u6bb5\u4e2d\u53ef\u807d\u898b\u55ae\u8eca\u9234\u8072\u8207\u96b1\u79d8\u7684\u8d85\u8072\u6ce2\u5143\u7d20\uff0c\u63cf\u7e6a\u51fa\u5c45\u6c11\u3001\u74b0\u5883\u8207\u53ef\u98df\u690d\u7269\u4e4b\u9593\u548c\u8ae7\u5171\u8655\u7684\u5834\u666f\uff0c\u4ea6\u5448\u73fe\u5c0d\u8cc7\u6e90\u5faa\u74b0\u8207\u751f\u614b\u97cc\u6027\u7684\u8072\u97f3\u60f3\u50cf\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u694a\u7a0b\u5247\u4f7f\u7528Geophone\u9304\u88fd\u4e86\u88dd\u98fe\u98a8\u8eca\u7d30\u5fae\u7684\u632f\u52d5\u8072\u3002\u9019\u4e9b\u98a8\u8eca\u517c\u5177\u7f8e\u5b78\u8207\u6559\u80b2\u529f\u80fd\uff0c\u8c50\u5bcc\u4e86\u53c3\u89c0\u8005\u7684\u611f\u5b98\u9ad4\u9a57\uff0c\u4e5f\u5bd3\u610f\u8457\u98a8\u80fd\u7684\u53ef\u6301\u7e8c\u767c\u5c55\u7406\u5ff5\u8207\u4eba\u8207\u81ea\u7136\u7684\u9023\u7d50\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u672c\u4f5c\u5c55\u51fa\u65bc\u82f1\u570b\u6587\u5316\u5354\u6703\u4e3b\u8fa6\u7684&nbsp;<em>Spark 2024<\/em>&nbsp;\u300c<em>Listening to the Earth: Sonifying Planetary Health Ecologies<\/em>\u300d\u5c55\u89bd\uff0c\u70ba\u4e00\u5834\u878d\u5408\u5be6\u9ad4\u8207\u7dda\u4e0a\u5f62\u5f0f\u7684\u85dd\u8853\u6d3b\u52d5\uff0c\u805a\u7126\u65bc\u8072\u97f3\u8207\u5730\u7403\u5065\u5eb7\u4e4b\u9593\u7684\u95dc\u806f\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Artwork Title\uff5c&nbsp;Waves of Urban Farm&nbsp;(2024)Form\uff5c&nbsp;Field RecordingsArtist\uff5c&nbsp;GUI Ren, YANG Cheng The recordings were made around Hong Kong\u2019s first urban farm, located near the sea.
